CPS Question

Dad got a recall letter for the CPS on his 01 a week or so ago. I stopped by the dealer and picked it up a few days ago but havent put it in because it seems to be running just fine. We are in the process of changing the waterpump right now and I was wandering if we should go ahead and change it out or just leave it until it gives us trouble. The CPS in it now is black and the one we got from the recall was gray. Isn't one of them better than the other?

Yeah Im pretty sure the better one is black, but I'd leave it in the truck and change if needed.

no its the opposite, the grey one is better, might as well swap the grey one in, mine ran alot better when i switched it, you can get them online for like 30 bucks now too, i keep a spare so i dont get stranded anywere since my truck shutting off in the left lane on the interstate scared the $%# outta me
