installing pinion yoke on dana 80

I am installing a pinion yoke on a dana 80. i am replacing the flange that came on this rear. Its a 2003 model. My torque spec says 470 foot pounds. While tightening this nut do i need to check any bearing load or play? I am not rebuilding this rear. I bought one with 50k on it. I just need to swap yokes to hook it up.
When installing the yoke, can i just line up the splines and let the bolt press it on? do i have to use a yoke install driver tool? Theres no crush sleeves from what I am told. I dont think i could screw this up.Someone just told me to check the play as i tighten to not overtighten the load on the bearings? is this possible?
thx
