Figure this one out!!!
Okay, this has me scratching my head. Yesterday going down the road I glanced at my fuel gauge and see it is pegged on Full. Unless the diesel fairy dropped $80 of fuel into my truck, something is wrong. Stopped at the store came out and started and it showed correctly, about 1/8 of a tank. Now today I am leaving WalMart and I look at my temp readout on the over head display and it says 56 degrees, I know it felt cooler but not that cool!! I look at the fuel gauge and it is back up to a lttle past 3/4, 5 min goes by and the temp gauge starts reading correctly at 76 degrees, the fuel gauge is still high but dropped to just above 1/2 of a tank. I stopped the truck and both read fine. There you go, figure this out!!! I hate gremlins!!! I don't see how these two can be related to the same issue, but maybe there is a slim chance that someone else had this happen and knew a cure, I know " wishful thinking" . The only time the fuel gauge has acted weird was while climbing a steep hill, or descending a steep hill while deer hunting, and I am talking steep, so the float must have gotten hung up, otherwise the gauge has already read accurately. I am going to go fill it up later and keep an eye on things.

Don't say that DAVE!!!
I have discovered that the sending unit wire and the air temp wire do share the same connector # C930 , now I need to find out where this connector is actually located. NCH |
