New Parts
Just recieved new parts. ts 6 position chip,K & N intake kit. Ordering exhaust tomorrow! Should I install chip and filter before I put the exhaust on? Or should I do the exhaust first? Has anyone used the bully dog trans upgrade kit? Is it a good upgrade? Can't wait to get it done! I'm bone stock. I hope to see some real improvement.

I would install the exhaust first. Do you have a pyro? It would be easy to run up your egt's trying out a new chip with no way to know what's going on. You should be OK with the exhaust if you are not towing anything. Get a pyro before you tow or make sure you tow in a low setting.

I am not one to discourage people when it comes to there trucks. Or tell you what to do with there trucks. But I recommend you get rid of that k&n filter. keep the tube and buy a different filter. As for the installs. Do it all at once unless you want to see the difference in performance with each one.
As for my comment about the k&n filter look in my garage there is a picture of what one looks like after seeing the sand dunes. As for the tranny shift kit, it is not bad it firms up the shifting of the tranny, raises the line pressure as well. For the price I would say if you have a good trans now it will only make it better. Last edited by bigcountrysg; 02-22-2007 at 04:11 PM. |

You're definately going to see some improvement. but, like pipelayer said with out a egt gauge and with that chip if you get on it your egt's could get real high and you won't know it. Hate to see you get her all fixed up and have something bad happen
, so have fun but be careful.
