Hey guys, I am going to be replacing my upper and lower ball joints soon on the truck and wanted to see what everyone is using and having good results with. I have used Moog in the past, but recently was told that every since one of there factories burned down a few years back, quality changed. I'm not sure if there is any truth to that. Who makes the OEM motorcraft replacement? Any feedback on this would greatly be appreciated.
Spicer is OEM supposedly as mentioned above or, go bucks up and get rebuild-able dynatrac joints. I replaced the joints in my truck a year and 10K miles ago with spicers and noticed last week the pass side can be moved up/down by hand. I'm not happy about that considering I've not heard good things about Moog either. The dynatracs while 2.5X the cost, may be the best best. I have read XRF makes good joints but have not direct knowledge on them.
I have moog products on my truck, my escape and few other cars I have had over the years... never had an issue with them. I hear good things about XRF but haven't used them.
I just changed mine a few months ago and went with Raybestos pro grade,Great quality and fairly cheap on Amazon
