Okay, so I found another 7.3 since the previous one wasn't as described and thus too expensive.
Was hoping you guys would take a look at the pictures and tell me if maybe I'm overlooking something.
It's a 2000 7.3 with 230'000 miles on her. It's completely stock and has been that way for the duration according to the owner. It's gotten a new turbo not long ago. It's also been repainted.
Guy who owns it bought it from a friend of his and it's been living an urban life the last couple of years.
He's selling for $10k. It's based in Europe so prices may be higher here due to Socialist tendencies.
there should be a fuse and new harness spiced into the brake reservoir sensor, they usually zip tie it to the old harness.
if not get it done ASAP or you could be looking for a new truck. was the cause of alot of fires.
similar to this, minus the servo part since the 7.3 uses electronic throttle.(no cables)
also since your looking at black trucks, be aware for some of them had a defect in the paint
my hood is spiderweb-ed, and there are other areas on the body where it is cracking. i think ford had a defect with the primer and paint bonding. my truck needs to be repainted because of this.
also since that one has fender flares check under the rear ones for rust in the wheel wells.
i have run it before its ok and it works. i been running delo 400 le 5w40 sythetic this winter with good results, but will switch back to Mobil delvac 1300 15w40 this summer. but i don't plug mine it and it starts after 5 seconds heating the glow plugs on synthetic..
its just all personal opinion though, i change mine every 4-5k miles because it starts to sheer down after 4k miles no matter what oil you run due to the high pressure oil system.
i have had t3(lower grade), rotella T triple. t6, delo, and mobil in it the last 75k miles , seems to be quieter/runs better on the mobil/delo than the rotella i have found out.
Haha, well well well! That car was just about a total wreck. No rust under the flares but plenty underneath the doors. Guy knew NOTHING about that truck. I asked him when he lasted changed oil and filters and he just looked at me like I was from The Moon. "Oil? What d´ya mean oil?"
The front window was cracked all the way across. He didn´t find it necessary to tell me that apparently.
It drove like a nightmare with death wobble all the way from 20 mph. Faaaaaaaak!
