7.3 > minivan - Test results included

Hi I'm Joe.

This isn't actually my truck, I was just the passenger in it when this happened.

Basically minivan failed to yield.

So we got a free sliding door...

Traveling in the opposite direction as us on the same road, turned left in front of us at an intersection, said they "didn't see us"

Hit the brakes and horn, t-boned them pretty hard, sent them off to the side as we went straight through them.

I was really impressed with the ride quality as we drove through the minivan, sitting passenger side without a seat belt (not illegal in GA) I hardly even lifted off my seat if anything, that van really didn't slow us down; neither did the curb or yield sign we swerved into actually.

We both walked away completely uninjured, driver and passenger of the minivan (18 yr old guy and his 14 yr old brother) had some bleeding and scratches on their face but seemed okay.

This truck also has the "ambulance package" so I believe that means stiffer frame, dual alternators, and a few other perks. I'm sure the reinforced frame helped out a little here.

Everything worked out great with witnesses and the other driver being honest about their mistake. The truck obviously has some body damage in the front as well as dents and scratches all the way down the passenger side from the van rolling off us. Radiator was dented but no leaks coming from the truck. Hopefully everything goes well with the insurance company and getting this repaired.
