OK, here's the deal. My friend is selling his 99 Powerstroke and says I can have his Hypertech Power Programmer 3 if I want it. Part number is 41039 which Hypertech says works on 99-00 only. Mine is an 01 and would require part number 41040. Does this sound right? Wouldn't it seem that a programmer should work on all 99-03 7.3's? I don't want to mess up my truck, but the price is right on this one. I know that the early 99's had some differences, but shouldn't this work? Are they just wanting to sell their newer model? Any luck with these programmers? Thanks in advance.
