DP tuner

My buddy Mike has an 01 F350 7.3 he has a DP tuner setup out of a 97, can it be used in his 01? Can it be reflashed to suit his need?

i know you can send any tuner to get it reflashed, dont hold me to this but im pretty sure that the 97 and 01 are diffrent set ups, even if they aren't i would be sure that the computer codes that the chip is programed for is the same on both trucks.

DP Tuner has to be sent back to DP Tuner to be reflashed not sure how much it is to do it. But it will have to be done since they will not match up right.

If you have to pay for the DP Tuner then pay for the reburns i would consider just getting a new Chip from someone else.

Yes it will have to be reburned, since the 97 was single shot tuning (unless it was a Cali model) and the 01 is split shots. Jody should be able to fix you up for a fair price.
