adding timing
I have an edge evo that lets you advance the timing on the custom program. How much is it safe to advance? I have an AFE stage II intake and AFE 4" straight pipe exhaust. Tha truck is mostly a tow rig so I'm looking for performance in the hills not at the top end. Keep on truckin'.

Ive advanced my all the way before but its too hard to drive. Ive learned my lesson tho leave the tuning to the experts. Coincidence or not i was messin with my edge timing wot fuel etc and a perfectly good acting tranny turned to junk in about 5 miles. Its your truck but i wouldnt mess with it.

leave it to the guys who get paid for it. messing with timing is unforgiving if you mess up.

That's about what I figured too. Luckily it lets you add a quarter degree at a time and I stopped at one quarter to see what happened. WOT pulling the trailer seemed to burn more fuel equaling less black cloud so I'll quit while I'm ahead. Thanks

40K is a bigger trans cooler and 10k mod is adding a resistor to your icp sensor but i dont use it anymore either cuz the truck seems to run like **** when its on
