The nightmare ends...
PLEASE READ, there are lessons to be learned.
for those of you that followed my vibration and grinding problem i have an interesting update. well the "high end" diesel shop here in my home town of ozona texas stated my vibe problem to be a BENT flywheel caused by the guy who put a rear engine seal in. putting my trust in these guys i bought a new one ($190). since thier rate was too high($85/hour) i searched for another mechanic. my new guy was getting ready to put in the flywheel when he decided to gauge the flywheel just be sure i wasnt getting screwed. sure enough my flywheel WAS NOT bent... so now im wondering what the vibe is??? we drove the truck and decided that the vibe was in the front end. i got new WARN hubs and my problem was solved.
if any of you are EVER broke down on interstate 10 between San Antonio and El Paso. DO NOT use O.T.T.E.R emergency repair. also known a S&S Trucking.
