Brake controller questions???

Ok... I bought a Tekonsha Envoy controller for cheap and I already have the factory ford tow plug and I see where it plugs in under the dash....My question is which wires go where?
The tow plug has a label that says

BROWN- Illumination (I am guessing this is not used)
DARK BLUE- Trailer electric brake feed
RED- Trailer electric brake control feed
WHITE-Ground
LT GREEN- Stop lamp feed to brake controller

The blue and red are confusing the hell outa me!
I understand the green and white ones but then it all falls apart.

dark blue goes to the trailer plug, red is the input from your brake pedal

are you talking the wire colors on the ford pigtail or on the controller pigtails when you say red and blue?

The ford wire colors are:
Red- Battery feed to brake controller
Blue- Brake output to trailer
Lt Green- Stop lamp feed to brake controller
White- Ground
Brown- Illumintion
The brown one is not used on most controllers.

I just found the same info on another site. I was getting confused when the ford plug says
DARK BLUE- Trailer electric brake feed
RED- Trailer electric brake control feed

But I got it now. Thank you!

Don't feel bad I had to look at it a couple of times too.

Glad you got it worked out......this is the reason I ordered the Tekonsha harness when I ordered my Prodigy.

Don't forget to put in the relays under the hood. Some of them were left out for the user to install , check your manual on this. You could trouble shot that one all day long. Good choice on the control unit.
