Flippen Stealerships.....

SO. Family friend notices that theres tranny fluid leaking when tranny is warm. Significant leakage, from the rear of the tranny. This is the exact same truck I have in the pic down there, only its maroon, or country wine or whatever, and its not 4x4. Anyways, he takes it to the local stealership and leaves it. They call him later saying the tranny must come out of the truck so they can determine whats making it leak. I found this out after the fact, so there was nothing I could do to help him. I did tell him that the rear main seal is likely the culprit and not an uncommon failure for our trannies. Why would the diBLEEPcks at the stealers tell him they have to remove the transmission? Tranny acts completely normal, but just leaks when at OT. Out the rear. I feel like theyre soooo gonna stick it to him cash wise, and feel rather sorry for him. Hes not mechanical at all, and only knows its a truck, it runs on diesel fuel, and can tow and haul stuff in the bed.
