Ok, this is what i have found. this deal comes with a forged rod motor (1347877 build number) with 102,000* original miles a tranny that has 9000* miles and a transfer case. also the wiring harness, the inter cooler the radiator, tranny cooler, power steering fluid cooler and both of the computers. the story is that all was removed from a year 2000 super duty single cab in 2006 after it was totaled from being hit hard in the rear.
the motor has a lot of road grime on it it looks to have had some oil leaks. the turbo has some light browning from heat but i have seen much worse it has what looks to be a brand new alternator and all of the accessories and sensors are there.

the tranny looks brand new along with the torque converter. the torque converter has fm64rx-s3 stamped on it. fluid looks new and does not smell burnt.

*the truck was scraped out back in 2006 so he could not prove the mileage numbers. the story is that his father in law wrecked the truck the bought it back from the insurance company and parted it out. he got as far as dismantling the truck and getting rid of the cab and chassis and then died of a heart attack and then this guy inherited it

Id say $1000 give or take a little. If you say it needs some work your going to have to shell out some more cash for parts.

yes id say that it at least needs valve cover and oil cooler gaskets, but other than that motor, tranny (which the torque converter and tranny look absolutely brand new) , transfer case, inter cooler, radiator, icm, ecm look to be in good shape. he told me he would sell it all for $1500. i think that's a good deal but i know you guys would know. its a lot of money and i guess i am just needing a little reassuring from some knowledgeable people.

900 tops cuz who knows how much you are going to need just to hear it run. could need injectors, sensors, etc...

he told me that he knows that it runs because he was there when they dismantled it, and that he would take 1500

Has the motor been kept out of the rain and did you see what the oil looked like. Just for a used motor up here your looking at $3000.00
