APCM \ AIC HELP !

I just bought myself a apcm, its the one with the pto option, it powers up and display the rpm, i just cant get it to idle up i push the rpm control button, it dispays 1200 rpm then i push the ford button and the led light beside the rpm control button flashes 4 time and it goes back to my rpm display ??? my emergency brake light is on, in neutral foot off the clutch, brake or fuel ??? any help is greatly appreciated

My emergency brake switch aint working so i pulled the wire and ground it so my light comes on in the cluster... could that be a problem ?

Could be. I usually wait a few extra seconds between mashing buttons to give it time to work, if that makes sense.

For the AIC to turn on several things need to happen:
E-brake set
Trans in park (for auto) or neutral (for stick)
No input on any of the pedals

Then the AIC will turn on. I didn't like the idea of having to set the e-brake every time I wanted to use it (and the OEM switch was being flaky in my truck as well) so I wired in a toggle switch to ground out the signal for the e-brake when I want to use my AIC. Easy sleazy to do, only took a few minutes and a little bit of wire. If you don't have it already, here is a link for the AIC operation manual.
