If you were regearing what would you go to?

The truck is as outlined in the signature. Currently has 4.10's ... My max load is about 4-5K....

If the gear calculator I used is correct and the overdrive ratio I picked was close (.75) the results would be as follows. 75 MPH is just too painful to listen to with the engine screaming with the 4.10's

3.54's would be 71.7 at 2000 rpm
3.73 " 68.1 "
4.10 " 61.9 "

Would you go 3.73 or 3.54 with a eye on daily driver economy. The 3.54's would mean having to change the carrier as well which is 2 x $200 +/- since its 4x4

i have a set of 373 with carriers came out of my 03 f250 they have 50000 miles on them.

i just replaced them with 456 gears and lockers.

the 373 gears/carriers are open diffs
