Tranny question.

Hey guys. I have a 2002 F250 and was looking for a little reassurance. My transmission has been trouble free but I recently towed my 29' trailer up the Alaska highway. While going up one of the many brutal hills on that godforsaken road, my tranny fluid temp went WAY up, to about 240F for a few minutes. By the way, everything I read about the stock guage is correct. That thing didn't move until I was up in temps on my other guage for a while. You cannot rely on the stock unit. Anyway, I am going to get the fluid flushed by a shop using a machine because I don't have time to do it myself. Now I am reading that many refuse to have their trannies flushed for fear of dislodging the goop that may live in there. Keeping in mind that the transmission was flawless going in, should I be concerned about this? It is not too late for me to back out if I want to. Thanks.
