Quick help. 1 question

Installing amp steps right now on my 02 F350 with remote keyless entry. Do i need to use a diode or not?


instructions contradict themselves....

i had to use the diodes on my 02, i bought the steps used and it came with the old style control box. the new style control box has different wiring. call amp and ask them, their tech help is good.

2002 F350 4x4 CCLB,
35"BFGs, 4" lift,
DP Tuner,
AGR rock ram,
4:10 gears, Mag Hytech trans and diff.

got it figured out. appreciate it tho. I tried calling them, missed them by 30 minutes! closed just before i called. Ended up not needing to use the diodes tho. Loving the steps!

If you don't use the diodes then both sides will open when any door opens.

crew cab. the way it had me wire it i didnt need the diodes but the direction got a little fuzzy. Had me "see wiring diagram" and then the next two steps contradicted the specific one. so idk. got it workin tho!
