Question about Power Steering
I had another question. I had noticed that it's almost impossible to turn the steering wheel right when I start up the truck and it hasn't warmed up yet. After driving it around for awhile it gets much easier to turn, but when I slow down to turn it can sometimes get hard again. Could there be something wrong w/ the power steering fluid or pump?

Have you checked the fluid level. Does the pump whine or make any unusual noise. When mine went out I could barely turn the steeringwheel. They are not hard to replace just time consuming you do need a pulley puller. It took me about 2 hours to replace my pump. Made driving my truck alot nicer. I had roughly 80,000 on my truck when the pump went out.

Mine turns relatively easy but makes the usual FORD whine.

yes most have the typical ford steering whine. But if it is extremely loud, and the pump is full of fluid then you have problems especially if it is hard to turn the tires.
