afe copied cfm

i was browsing the diesel performance websites as i do pretty much everyday and came across an afe version of cfm's intake manifold. its my understanding that these intakes are basically useless, but they seem to be popular. just wondering if anyone has installed one to get some real world feedback.

I've been considering one for over a year now and am unable to find any benefit other than the fact you can buy one with the tap.

haha yeah the tap is nice, though i dont think its worth 400 bucks.

I was looking at them too. I really like the looks of the cfm ones. I saw how much they cost, and I liked them a whole lot less after that. That is a lot of $$. Even the ads for them don't really make many claims Seperating the charged air better from the cooled air. They are already seperated in the factory spider...There can't be that much of a difference.
