Tranny cooler install

I finally bought all the parts needed to put the 6.0 cooler in my 2003 7.3. Does anyone out there have any advice on how to get this done? Any threads exist where someone documented the install? My son did his truck, but it seemed to go very slowly, I think with some words of wisdom, I could do it a bit faster than a day...any help out there?
Thanks,
Mike.

The way my son had done it involved removing some pretty heavy cross member under the radiator...sound familiar?

i didnt... just pull the grill off and go through the top. if he went through the bottom he would have to take off the crossmember.

you dont have to take the cross member off. theres only 4 like 8mm bolt you need to remove. plus some fittings.

i still say just take off the grill... it takes like a whole 2 mins and completely opens up the front end for easy work.

Was fimiliar with my truck. It's a total pain in the azz with that cross member. Some trucks don't have them some do. I notice the 2wd's have them.
