cooant differences, diesel to gas

Just curious, i have 2 gallons or prestone the green stuff. If my truck was gas I would use it. Why is this not right for a 7.3? Or is it ok? I read a bit on cavitation. But isnt this antifreeze ok if I add the additive?
thx

If your truck was supposed to have the yellow, it will gel up and be a damn mess. Depending on your truck/year ect you will have to use a certain type. I know that even in 2002 there were two different colors used that are not interchangeable.

Depending on the year, you should have been adding FW16 to it all along also.

If you have a 2000 or newer you can switch the the OTR long life CAT stuff. Will
last many years with no test strips or FW16 recharges.

That gold stuff was bad right out of the bottle, and you cant just use any of the green
stuff either. Has to be a low silicate or something like that.

I use the CAT stuff... nice red color so I can see that my radiator cap leaks a little..
