Pedal responce/rough idle
I have a '99 Ford F350, 7.3 diesel - driving home last night the truck started to stumble it slowed down so i accelerated - no response from the pedal. I pushed it to the floor and the trans downshifted and pulled fine, back into Overdrive it stumbled again. When I came to a stop light it was idling around 400 RPM shooting up to 1,500 RPM while in gear. If the truck is in Neural it still has the erratic idle however, not as drastic. when the light turned green the pedal was not responsive at all - it slowly built RPM at half to full throttle. As I pulled into the drive it died.
