need a refresher..

hey guys. today in connecticut was one of the first days this summer that it actually was pretty hot with no rain. it was great! anyways...i just need a little refresher as to how hot is too hot for the tranny..im pretty sure i read somewhere that 80 degrees above the ambient temperature outside is normal and anything more then that is getting a little too warm. i didnt experience any outragous numbers, i just want to be sure of when to pull over and let her cool down. im pulling a horse trailer this weekend and its supposed to be pretty warm. stock i had no worries its these 37s that help speed up the temps. thanks!

If you cross 210 I would let it cool off. Those 6.0 trans coolers were a big help on the 7.3s. Try and find one and you wont ever have to worry about that again.
