Loud noise coming from engine compartment

May b a dumb question but i dont remember my 2000 f350 making a roaring noise when cruising at 70 to 75mph, but my 2001 does sounds like an airplane engine under the hood is this normal???? Im just thinking that i didnt hear on other truck bc it was a XLT and the 01 is a XL and doesnt have as much insulation between the engine bay and the cab.

its the clutch fan locking in... i had a 99 with a rubber mat it was definatly louder than my 02 with a carpet kit in it. it should come and go as the fan locks in and out.
