Oil Temp?? Trans Temp??

What would be a normal and high, and TOO HOT.

My Engine oil temp are normally in the 200-220F I start to worry a little when they go above this.

A good rule of thumb with trans temps is 50-70F above outside temp.

I dont have oil temp guage but I have heard that is the acceptable range.

My trans sees anywhere from 153* normal on a 70* day. to 200-210 on a 90-100* day.


You cross 220-230 and your headed to a dangerous place on the trans.

engine = 210
when I am pulling my 7000LB travel trailer at 70mph
I think both are within reason with the upgrade I have.

I have herd that 230 is the point on the tranny
and 250 is the point on the engine
but that is only what I have herd of on the forums
