Hard to start 7.3 with manual t

A friend of mine with a '99 7.3 told me that she is having to press the clutch further and further into the floorboard in order to get the truck to turn over and start. Does this make sense to anyone? Any ideas what the problem may be? Thanks.

Its probably the nylon bushing worn out where the pedal meets the actuator rod
