Why? To spend more money on something that isn't the problem? I don't need that stuff. I have trash in the tank

Because filtering too much will never hurt. Next time something like this happens it will take you 2 minutes to change a filter on the frame rail vs dropping the tank or lifting the bed (don't get a 5th wheel because the rails bolt through the bed to the frame...)

I would highly suggest the pre pump kit. Its a good mod and not too expensive.

Remember lots of stations are using 5% bio in their fuel now.Bio will get in there and break loose all the gunk in the tank and send it to your filter and plug it fast. The spin on filter is about 8 bucks where as the stock filter is 25 or 30? Sure the pre is only 15 micron and some smaller things will still get caught by the stock filter, but most of the big junk will get stuck in the spin on filter. While you are in there do the harpoon mod for faster filling of the tank.
