Looking at buying a new 7.3 some help

Hey guys I just sold my 6.0 finally lol and want to go back to a 7.3. I had a 93, non turbo with 460k miles on it and never did anything except 1 tranny. Anyway I was looking at an 01 f350 the guy said the truck needs a new turbo the oil is leaking into the intercooler, I am not a mechanic but know quite a bit about just from working on my own. The truck has 110k on it, any other problems that would cause the turbo to go bad or is it even worth considering to buy, and what should I be careful of and whats the worst case senario?
