Running DP Tuner

18.6 best yet, 18.2 normal on daily driver with about 800lbs in bed - I drive mostly highway though with about 25% in town... gotta love Alaska

this is a DP tuner on 80econ, air intake, gauges, no exhaust stuff and not exactly driving like a granny, nor romping on it...

Hope it helps

you cant really meause MPG on a tuner.. the biggest factor is the driver, location, and size of vehicle.... before i lifted my truck soo much i was getting 18mpg+ with my TW chip... after the lift and big tires and all the other crap im lucky if i get 15 highway

hope that helps.... we will be running a sale on the TW chips this weekend

First time I've considered doing something like this. My other diesel has no ECU. Are these things truly plug and pray? Plug in the dongle and you're done? Select your tune?

Yep,it is that easy. You first need to decide what chip you are going to run pick the tunes you want install the chip and switch and you are off with the ability to switch tunes on the fly. From what i have read and from my own exsperienc 18mpg is the magic number.

As for who to use read some sigs go to some wedsites and find which works for you. There are three that come recamended. TW at total diesel performance Dp at Dptuner and PHP Power Hungery Performance. I have also read good things about Cale at BTS Brians truck shop. You need to make the decision for youre self they each do things diferently but are all good tuners.

So is there actually an EEPROM to pry out of a circuit board? Or just use a pigtail?

Basically all I need is a MPG and towing program. Would be nice if someone made a program for veggie oil burners like me

Hey - there's an idea with a market...
