I don;t mind cutting but to find the right wire end is well worth the 20-30 bucks

I bought the header panel from pershing auto parts on ebay. I bought the top bumper piece from Ford. I got tired of trying to find one used.

It is about as easy as it gets for the install... Only takes a few hours. As far as price goes all depends on where you find your parts...

Does anyone have the part numbers for the paintable upper valance and the chrome bumper?

I tried to call ford and they were very hesitant to give me the part numbers without giving them an 05 VIN number, but I got this 6C3Z17D957BAP2M which is the paint to match upper, but I don't know what bumper goes with it, there are many options. does anyone know if they sell the upper and chrome bumper together as 1 part?

You would probably have to buy used to get both parts together. I bought the paint to match top part, and the lower valance new from Ford. I got the bumper brackets (new), and the chrome part used from ebay. They want your 05 vin because that would tell them exactly what body parts match your truck. Most of the parts counter guys don't understand what your doing. If you explain it to them, they will likely tell you it won't work, even though it's a very easy and straight forward swap. Just decide whether you want a chrome or paint to match bumper, and parts. I think they sell an upper bumper already painted tan if your doing a two tone. You can also order parts from a dealership that offers online discount parts, but the shipping is pretty expensive. If you know someone who works in the local dealership, you can ask them to buy the parts from you. You can get the discounted prices and save the shipping.

Very nice write up, I will be doing the same. Which of these bumper brackets do I need? Looks like a couple different mounts are avaliable.

05 f250 bumper brackets, great deals on eBay Motors on eBay!
