Nerf Bar Help

Okay well i have a regular cab long bed 99 and it came with the nerf bars on it but the way they were monted had to be wrong i think...it had two self taping screws with a homemade bracket holding to the sheet metal of the body, and needless to say they just didnt hold up to long...so does anyone have any pics of the way their stock or aftermarket nerfs bolt up. im good at metal work so im going to make my own but id like to see how some companys are doing it so i have a starting point..thanks

look at some pics of the Westin Nerf Bars..should give you something to go by.
