Tire Help

So i'm wondering if u can run 305/70-16 on ford stock wheels? I mean will thay last, won't wear weird or bulge. Anyone that has ran them and got milage out of the tires. I plan on rotate tires every 3-5k.

Just wondering because my friends keep telling me that u need a 16X10 wheel 2 do that. I personally like the look of the stock ford wheels.

Your 305 is going to have a section width of just over 12.5 inches. I'm not positive, but I think our wheels are 8 inches. The problem will be when you mount the tire, It will have to pull the beads so close together that your tread will be rounded from sidewall to sidewall. Not to menton tire wear, handling will go to crap. It's the same premis as a ricer or mustang or camaro thinking "wider is better", but if they don't get the wheel to support it, their car gets sloppy on the road. Hope this helps.
