Recon LED lights vs imitation LED lights

Can anyone tell me the difference. I don't know if it's just me, but if you set the two in front of me I probably couldn't tell you the difference, so chime me in please.

I'm pretty sure you get what you pay for, but the difference is about $150 too.


The 3rd brake light looks identical too:

The difference here is about $50 and I still can't tell the difference.

Prob over all quality but if it's not a "show rig" . . . buy them and let us use you as the guinee pig!!!

well my taillights work well (theyre Recon) but my 3rd taillight is already flickering and i bought it from Recon..I'm pretty pissed about it. My Recon knock off I had on my Dodge lasted longer than that...only had this new light for about a year

more than likely its the same manufacturer that makes them for recon...

I bought these back in 05 after I bought my truck. I think they were the first of the LED tail lights at that time. Yes, they are kinda ugly during the day but cool at night. Some of the LEDs quit working after about a year. Each circle has 5 bulbs in it. On some there are 2 out and couple only have 1 bulb left that works. I am going to replace them with a different brand, just havent decided to get the cheap brand or the Recons as well.

I dont see any difference.... i may buy them when i have the extra money...if you do get them, and dont like them, put the stockers back in and relist them on ebay. someone will buy them..

I think I might bite on them. I already bought me some cheapo back smoked fender lights with LEDs and they work pretty well, but I can't find the tape that goes behind the light to keep it from falling off. I just ordered me a set of Recon smoked cab roof lights for $40. Next thing I want is tail lights and 3rd brake light, then running board. $200 I can deal with, so we'll see in the next few weeks.
