door badges

got rid of the early 99 fender badge found a new home for it



got a set of 99-03 door badges decided to acetone them.. they turned out great now I have to do the rest of the badges on the truck ..once I get them done ill put the door ones on.. still waiting on the hood to get painted too

ya I didn't want to go with the 03 6.0L style... they look nice but I dont want them Id rather have the 7.3 style since that's whats in it .. I just hated the early 99 style they look to much like the V8 Triton badges

anyone know if the acetone will hurt the paint on the truck? Id rather leave the fender ones on the truck and strip them..but i dont wanna hurt the clear coat

I'm pretty sure the acetone WILL hurt your clear coat and then some.

the door ones i washed with hot soap and water... i was wondering if i could do the ones on the fenders with out taking them off though.. looks like I'll have to pull them off and do them.. I dont wanna screw up the clear coat on the fenders

yeah, Acetone + your door/fender= NO GOOD! it will start to break down the clear coat and paint.
