tow mirrors with heat and sing 99-05

how here has hooked up the 03-05 tow mirrors on a 99-02 f-250. the ones with the lights and heat?

I would like to know too. I have a 99 F350 with 02 tow mirrors. The mirror plugs male to female (from control switch to mirrors) don't match. Can I just change the switch out or what?

i have 02 and the plug is the same. just pluged right in on my pickup. then just had to wire the turn signal and marker light up. havent wire the heat yet but will in the next week or so.

the marker light wire is the brown wire comming out of the mirror. i ran wires from both doors to the headlight switch and spliced into the brown wire coming out of the headlight switch. the black wire coming out of the mirror is the ground. for that i ran a wire from the door inside the cab and grounded it to a screw behind the kick panels. the driver side turn signal is a lt green/ white wire. again i ran a wire from the drivers door inside the cab and spliced into the wire coming out of the steering colum. the passenger side turn signal wire is white/lt blue and i wired it the same as the driver side. the mirror heat is the black wire with a white stripe. to hook it up you need to find a fused 12volt power source and run a wire from it to a switch mounted any were you like and the run a wire from the switch to each door and connect it to the black wire with the white stripe running into the mirror then whenyou want the heat on all you have to do it flip on the switch. i hope this helps everyone if you have any questions just ask.

be nice to find a set with lights in them cheap, anyone done anything lately with adding lights to there stock mirrors, i know someone did in the past and it turned out really good

would this be the same setup as for installing it if it was for a set of 08 mirrors on an 99-02?

i just dropped my truck off at a car audio place and they wired it up for like 50 bucks

i dont know if it would be the same. the reason i know that is the way for the 04-07 mirrors is because i did it on my truck. if you have the 08 mirrors look at the wires coming out of them if they are the same as i described then i would think it would work. if they are not you could go to your local dealer and see if they would give you a copy of the wiring diagram. then you would know what wires are for what.
