Fog Light ?

I got an 01 ex with Fog Lights. I would like to be able to turn my fog lights w/o turning my headlights on. Does anyone know how to do this? Right now I can only turn on my fog lights when my headlights are on! I don't have auto headlights.

You might be able to just replace the switch with one from a Super Duty. Not 100% sure if the plug is the same but I would think they are.

there is a mod for this that i did for both my mustang cobra and my explorer. Im sure there is a way. I know there is a mod to have your fogs stay on with your high beams.

Only thing about this mod for our trucks is that the fog light switch on the headlight switch is only pushed out when the headlights are on. You would have to splice in a wire and add another switch.

Mine can be pulled out with just the parking lights on.

On my 2002 F-250 you can pull put the head light switch in auto position and pull the switch out and when the key is on the fog lights are on.

I know you said you do not have auto head lights but it maybe worth a trip to a junk yard and find the switch that does have the auto head lights and see if it will work with your truck.

I can pull mine out with the parking lights on but the fog lights don't come on. They only come on with the headlights.

This is how mine works.

Headlight Auto Position Switched pulled out headlights off/foglights on
Switch in Parking Light Position Switch pulled out Fog lights on/ Headlights off
Switch in Headlight Position Switch Pulled out Fog lights on/ Headlights on

Headlights in Highbeam mode/ Fog lights off.

I can pull my knob out when its in all the positions and the fog lights come on, i was just messing with them today so i know i can for a fact.

Yeah, my foglights come on with just the parking lights on. Have to have the key in the on position for the foglights to come on though.

Does any one know if the switch from trucks with auto headlights will fit in my 01 ex w/o auto headlights?
