tires
hey guys. i just got a killer deal on a 6.5 inch procomp lift kit. so now its time to start looking at tires and rims. what size tires and rims do you guys think? im not going to be a hardcore offroader and spend 90 percent of my time on the road. im thinking 16X10 rim, black rims probably, with a 36 or 37" mickey thompson baja atz tire. what do you think?
this is how it looks now B-Rad LaPrad's Photos | Facebook |

With that size lift you must not be worried about getting good mileage so I'd say go with bigger tires, my choice would be at least 38s or 39s. That look pretty sweet.

I don't think you'll be able to go that big on the tires. I have a 5 inch lift and barely squeeze 35's in there. When they are new they will rub the inner fender wells.

to be honest i didnt even plan on lifting the truck. i was gonna get a levelling kit, then it was a 4 inch lift, then my buddies were telling me id wish i went with a bigger kit and to not get anything less then a 6 inch...soo...i got the 6 inch and now im tryin to find a happy medium with tires. i dont wanna kill the truck turnin big *** gumbo tires but i dont want it to look queer with small *** tires either......what to do..

It would look good with some wider 35's if you like that look. That way you won't have to worry about them fitting.

Here's mine. I only have 9" wide rims. I wish I would've gone wider but I thought they were going to stick out more than they do now.

Here is mine with 2.5" Add A Leafs and cut out flares. ProComp Extreme All Terrains 315s. I had these on and then did the flares. I was instantly embarased into the 38x15.5 MTZs on 16x12 Classic Locks. The ProComps were fine without the flares, but they do rub the leafsprings on full turns. With the new rims I think the 38s might rub a little less. Kind of a fact of life.
