Bumper Question

Ok, I have a 2000 7.3 and I am doing the 05 conversion for the headlights, grille and header panel. I'm looking at buying a ranch hand type bumper and I'm wondering which year do I buy? If I buy a 05-07 bumper to fit in with the conversion will it fit on the 2000 frame? Or do I have to buy the bumper for the 99-04 model year? Thanks guys.

I believe you want the 99-04 bumper. Wish I could tell you for sure.

it should fit, the only difference I think is the grille, the 99-04 grille is smaller then the 05-07. the newer grille drops a couple inches so youd have to get a 05-07 bumper to work with the newer grille

or you could do it the safe way, buy a 05-07 grille modded to fit with the 99-04 bumper and which means you can rock a 99-04 bumper with the 05-07 look, like I plan to do, I was thinking of going with road armour bumper, but for right now I really like the look of the 05-07 lights and grille with the 99-04 bumper with the skirt painted black, looks 10000 times better,

like right now I have a 01 with 05-07 Harley lights and 05-07 grille modded to fit with the 99-04 bumper, you can see the bottom the grille is shorter, vs a stock 05-07 grill but still a good 05-07 going on

you don't have to buy a header panel to make the head lights work, you can use your stock one, just takes a little cutting, took me 15 minutes with a dremel and worked great,2 bolts up top and the 2 screw on bottom, just like the new ones

when I first got here

and then

this pretty much the same grille I bought just a black one,
I bought it off ebay, took about 2 minutes to put in, simple
then I found some headlights with the pig tails for like $170 on ebay too
worked great!

I just came across this,
long story short, 05-07 grille & Lights with 05-07 ranch hand bumper on a 2001 f250 works!!

so you got 2 options
1. 07 lights, 99/07 modded grille with 99-04 ranch bumper
or
2. 07 lights, legit 07 grille with 05-07 ranch bumper

i'd say go with option 2! looks way better, just look at the white one in the link, (7.3Leaders truck)

05 conversion+ranchhand?

Well, you pretty much answered all my questions. I already have the header, grille and lights so it looks like I'll be ordering the 05-07 ranch hand. Thanks a lot!
