Front Grill Emblem

I dont know if I'm the first to do it but I had a accident with a screw driver that prompted a new "mod". I scratched the heck outa my grill emblem and was gonna come in the house and order a new one but decided to tink with the old one first. I peeled all of the plastic or rubber stuff off of it and now its chrome looking just like when you acetone the newer ones, (05+). Is this a known thing or did I do somthing new? It looks friggin sweet no matter what. And I'm not so mad about hitting it with the screwdriver. Dont ask what I was doin with the screwdriver

heres a few pics. They didnt turn out very good because its dark and the emblems are shiney. The imperfections you see are smudges because I'm an idiot and wiped em off with my hand before I took the pics and by the time I saw it blown up on my pc the battery died in the camera. Sorry but they're dirty, I've been driving the truck for a couple days. Hope you like. Also I found the front one already peeled on ebay for like 40 bucks.

The front one looks in the pic to have a blue-ish tint also but it really doesnt.

Yep it has been done before... you just have to heat up the blue and peal it out. Nice job though... looks good!
