Turnsignal Mirror Covers

Does anyone know if it's possible to swap the all black tow mirror covers out for ones with the light/turnsignal in them? Is the wiring there? Is the cover a direct bolt on?

I want the lights on my mirrors for when I tow the boat at night so people can see how wide of a load I am. I've had a couple of close calls and think this would help.

can you even buy the covers? i have never heard of them but if i were you i would try to find a set off of a 05 to 07 or just get the 08 that is what i got for my truck and man are they the ****.

im not sure if you will have the wires there but im sure it cant be that hard to wire up ........its just tapped into your headlights and turn signals.........good luck bud and keep us posted

the wiring is going to be the easy part i had to wire my 08 mirrors because my truck did not come with the signals and running lights.changing the cover might work i just have never heard of that before.

and for me just trying to change the covers mean im going to break somthing ....i would just replace the whole unit

I agree with fordmugg, the thing to do would just be replace the whole mirror, check eBay, there are lots of deals on mirrors, and everybody is trying to get the lowest price
