Power mirror repair

Im having problems with my power mirrors not adjusting where i want them too. I read on some other posts that the rods go bad. Whe I try to adjust the mirrors say to the left, they go over then down and if i try to adjust it upward it goes to the right. Thats just a slight description of what they do. Are these rods something you can get from the dealer?

Your switch could be bad... you got any buddies nearby with a similar truck... then you could do a quick switch of the mirror controls...

Both my truck AND my dad's truck are having this exact same problem!

We have the exact same trucks with the exception that he has the lariat package.

We were thinking it was the switch, but haven't really looked into troubleshooting it yet.

I would definitely say it's the switch. My old mirrors did that and guess what, my 08 mirrors do it too.

If you have a buddy you ought to just swap it out and see. You don't even have to take the door panel off to do it!

I don't have anyone in my area that I can think of off the top of my head that I could switch them out. Has anyone tried this yet?
