HID headlights not working: need help

After camping out in the mountains this weekend I ran into a problem. Last night I went to turn my HID headlights on and only the parking lights come on. After playing with the wires I found that by tapping this box they would come on. Im not sure what its called or if anyone has had problems with there lights doing the same thing. I was wondering if I could just buy this piece at radio shack or if I need to order one?
Its the black cube I'm holding that says "Max 40A"

The relay is bad. You can buy them at any auto parts store. Just have the find one that matches

maybe you just need a new relay..I dont even have a relay on my HIDs...try that and see what happens...BADA BING!

when I unplug the relay with my light on they will turn off, so I do need it.

of course you need it, im saying you need a new one. But on mine i dont even have one, i didnt hook it up that. go to autozone or something and get a new relay and you'll be good
