05 headlight/ 05 core support conversion with 00 bumper and grill?

Hello , I have my 05 headlights, and the conversion harness ready to put on. I do not want to cut up the factory core support so my question is if I can use the 05 core support that I have with my 05 headlights on my stock 00' bumper and grill. I know that the bottom clips wont match up on the grill but other than that should it fit?

well for those of you wondering.. you cant without cutting up the 05 header panel as well , to tall and it would hit the factory 99-04 bumper.

did you end up just putting a 05+ grill in their?
