MonstaLiner bed liner install review

Just rolled on a MonstaLiner bed liner kit into my 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty. Didn't find a whole lot of reviews of it online, so I took a chance on it. So far I'm very pleased with the ease it went on with and the look of it. I spent about 2.5 hours prepping the bed with sandpaper, cleaning it out, MEK and then drying it. I had to roll the liner on outside which wasn't recommended, but picked a day where the temp was about 50 degrees and sunny. First coat went on in about 45 minutes, and I figured it'd be a few hours before I could do the 2nd coat, however after about an hour, it was completely dry so I rolled on the 2nd coat. Started rolling on at 9am, and was done by lunch with both coats. I bought the 1 gallon kit, which did the entire bed, however if I were to do it over with again, I'd order an extra quart to do touch up with after the 2nd coat dried. I think the key to these roll on bed liners is to spend time on the prep to do it right, and roll it on slowly.

We'll see if it holds up over time, but its supposed to be UV protected so it shouldn't fade.

Looks great! You picked a great product. I am planning on using it on both my F250 and my Land Cruiser. Here is some more reading about it from the Land Cruiser forum...

I would order the extra quart of roll on liner with the 1 gallon kit. There are some spots that I wish would have been thicker, and I wouldnt have to have been so concerned about spreading things out to cover it all. Other than that, I'm completely happy with it so far. I've not loaded anything in the bed since its been done, but plan to do so this weekend for sure with helping some friends move and going dirt biking with my son.

How has the Monstaliner held up the last couple of months? What have your temperatures been?

Held up great so far. We've had a terrible winter and it hasnt peeled or flaked at all. Havent had much in it other than dirt bikes so far though, although this spring I should have a few pallets of tile since we are redoing the sunroom.
