Friends Mirror Broke...

Sport mirror, the glass part is cracked. Can it just be taken out or does the whole mirror need to be replaced?

You can replace the glass only. But I would replace the whole mirror.

pop out the glass... take it to a glass shop.. He will peal off the plasic backing that snaps into the mirror housing and glue/tape it to the new glass and pop it back in...

or just order new glass. Ford Parts and Ford Diesel Parts at Powerstroke Shop had new glass for the TT style mirrors. Just email them... I would think they would have them for the smaller paddle style..

The whole mirror needs to be changed, and I just happen to have a set for sale. LOL

look at a junk yard. i got run off the road and clipped mine on a road sign. I picked up a power one at the junk yard for 30 bucks
