Spare tire and backseat questions

#1- Bought a new-to-me 99 F350 and the key for the spare is missing. Had the same problem with the last one I bought and I just cut the cable to drop the tire. Is there a better way to get it out and maybe still be able to use the carrier?

#2- The truck is a Supercab so the rear seat is junk. I will need to stick a car seat back there so I'm hoping to swap a newer seat in, one that has the metal carseat tie downs. A newer(2004-5) should swap right in......right? Thanks for the help!

Mine was missing the spare tire key when I bought my used '02. I went to the dealership and they had a master set, found the one that fit and ordered it for me. I think it was like 10-15 bucks? I don't know about the rear seat though.

I'd have to look at the car seat strap to see how its mounted. Doubt its mounted to the seat, but rather the body.

I put our car seat in the back without issue. Just know how to install them.

My 02 didn't come with a key and didn't need one. The flat end of the stick fit in there to turn it.
