Tips to cleaning engine.
So id like to clean my engine but im worried. Any time i have done this in the past to my gas rigs, it screws them up they miss real badd. What can i use, or how should i do this. Can i use a pressure washer or just degreaser and hose it off.
Thanks for the help in advance.

spray it down with purple stuff or equivalent , and pressure wash it off, will not hurt a thing , just dont spray your air filter area to hard, we steam them off all the time after repairs

I've never done it, but I've been told by Marc to try to keep the water off the alternator and relays if you can.

i spray simple green on my motor ...start powerwashing ...when im done start it up drive it around so trapped water in little places comes out and its all good

I use any kind of heavy duty degreaser(purple power is what i mostly use), and i put a trashbag, or grocery bag over the alternator before hand so it doesn't get wet.
I've had no problems |
