painted factory steps

Hey all , just a cheap exterior mod i saw the other day. A guy passed me in a maroon colored f-250 and had painted the factory painted part of the steps to match the color of the truck. These were the steps with the plastic on the tread plate and black on the bottom. Anyway had not seen this done or postings about this , but it looked pretty nice. Wanted to do mine but with the dark color blue did not think it would really show as well as a standout color or white.

You could always rhino line them with a color. That way they hold up to the weather and rocks...
