55w HIDs in fog lights?

I know they say it isn't a good idea to run 55w bulbs in the fog lights because it is too much heat. I was just wondering if anyone has done it and experienced any problems with it or none at all. Retro Solutions only offers 55w ballasts which is why I'm asking.

Thanks

I just don't want to have to get 55w for the headlights and 35w for the fogs because there is a color difference from what I have heard, not much, but noticeable.

I have 55 watt in my foglights and have been running them for about a year...the only issue I have had with them is while plowing snow, I somehow managed to get a huge snow ball up underneath the bumper and jiggled a light out....still worked and I didn't realize it until the damn light melted all the way through the fog light assembly...that's more of a dumb *** issue than a light issue... they are bright as hell.

ive got 55w in my fogs and no problems. the only time i could really see them being an issue is if you lived in the middle of the desert where its still 100+ at night. check out DDM Tuning: HID and LED Lighting i have had their set ups in my last 3 trucks and couldnt be happier and you cant beat the price
